About us

The Elks Swim Team is a summer swim team for all children ages 5-18! You do not have to be an Elks member to join our team.

We have a class level for everyone. Our Level 1 Swimmers are children aged 10 & under who can swim a 25-yard pool, unassisted, using at least one of the four basic strokes. The coaches will work with these swimmers to further develop their confidence in all four strokes, and their ability to successfully compete in a swim meet.

Our Level 2 Swimmers are children aged 11 & over who can swim a 25-yard length pool, unassisted, in more than one of the four basic strokes. The coaches will work with these swimmers to further develop their strengths and become more confident during the weekly swim meets.

The Elks Swim Team meets at the Elks Club Pool, located at the Elks Lodge #122, 310 E. Preston Ave., Shreveport, La. 71105.

Head Coach - Patrick Garrett

Patrick is a Shreveport native, retired U.S. Navy SEAL, and is the current Head Coach of the Centenary College Swim Team. Now in his fifth year of coaching the Elks summer team, we are thrilled to have Patrick's leadership, knowledge, and passion for the sport of swimming.
